No Halloween costume? No problem. All that dorky-looking outdoor gear you wear on the river, trail, and slopes can be transformed聽into a great trick-or-treating outfit鈥攊f you get聽creative. Here are four聽options you can pull from your closet or shed.
Wetsuit Ninja聽

Slap on a wetsuit, throw a 聽over your face, break out your old FiveFingers shoes听(辞谤 socks),聽and be the best-dressed ninja at the party. This聽costume gets a little hot, but you鈥檒l be plenty warm collecting candy.听
顿谤测蝉耻颈迟听Starship Troopers聽Trooper

Drysuits are expensive and super-specialized, so it鈥檚 nice to repurpose them once a year聽as futuristic alien-slaying outfits from Starship Troopers.听(If you don鈥檛 have a drysuit, you can use base聽layers instead.)聽Add聽a cool helmet and聽goggles and the costume gets even better. Bonus points if you have a聽fake laser gun.
国产吃瓜黑料 Cats聽

I obsessively follow 国产吃瓜黑料 Cats () on Instagram (hey, it鈥檚 fun!). The feed is great inspiration for a costume. Put on your harness, tie into a rope, slap on a life jacket, paint on some whiskers, and boom: You鈥檙e an adventure cat, too.听The costume takes a bit of explaining, but it鈥檚 a great conversation starter.
Jerry of the Day

Jerry聽(noun): Someone聽who misuses his聽gear聽or gets in over his head. Some of the best Jerries聽pop up on the ski hill (documented by the Instagram feed ),聽so this costume is simple: Throw your helmet and bibs on backwards, wear your goggles upside down, and then walk around documenting yourself with a GoPro attached to a selfie stick.听
