There鈥檚 a special place in our hearts聽for apparel with a backstory, which is why we鈥檙e fans of the Moto Jacket.
This piece goes back to 1973 when a Navy seaman landed in San Francisco, walked into聽聽(established in the 1920s),聽and bought a brown caf茅 racer leather jacket. He wore the jacket for years, then passed it to his son who wore it into his job at Taylor Stitch. Designers at the company fell in love, found the original pattern, and started building exact聽replicas.
Made from a bomber, 3.5-ounce whiskey brown steerhide, the Moto聽is accented with antique brass zippers on its front and cuffs, while聽a聽diamond-quilted interior聽and wind flap聽keep the chill out on evening rides. The heritage聽is everywhere.
