Whether we were at a hut in the remote mountains of East Greenland or tromping around the Vermont woods, these fleece-lined pull-on boots ($165) did triple duty as hikers, workers, and warm booties.
The waterproof, flexible neoprene upper made them easy to pack and supercomfortable over and under pant cuffs. They鈥檙e warm even in temperatures as low as minus 20 Fahrenheit. The tiny heel shelf held onto a snowshoe strap and made it easy to take boots off with one hand.
Muck makes boots of multiple heights. We loved the mid height, which came halfway up the calf and kept out all but the deepest snow.
