Arc’teryx devised a way to laminate Gore-Tex’s best waterproof technology, ProShell, directly to the leather palm and nylon shell. There aren’t multiple layers of slippery fabric inside, just a superwarm and quick-wicking Polartec fleece liner. They also figured out a way to stitch it all together using barely-there seams鈥攚ith none at all in the fingertips. You can literally pick up a dime. Which is why they cost so damn much鈥攁nd work so damn well. $275;
