Combined wins by the Jackson family at the GoPro Mountain Games

That鈥檚 how kayaking legend Eric Jackson explains the rise of his children Emily, 23, and Dane, 19. The Jackson clan spent the better part of the past decade living out of an RV, following Eric as he dominated every freestyle颅 kayaking competition on earth and nurturing what has become the biggest brand in whitewater boats, Jackson Kayaks. Now, perhaps more quickly than he鈥檇 like, his kids are poised to unseat him.

ASCENDANCY: In the past two years, Dane has emerged as the most accomplished paddler on the planet, winning three golds at the and the Whitewater Grand Prix鈥攁n invitation-only event鈥攖wice. Emily has continued her dominance in freestyle competitions, including wins at the past seven in Vail, Colorado.

JUST BUSINESS: This June, Dane and his father鈥攁long with Emily鈥檚 husband, 鈥攚ill again be competing at the GoPro Mountain Games. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot of trash talking,鈥 says Dane. 鈥淭here鈥檚 no such thing as my dad taking it easy on anyone.鈥 As for Emily, she鈥檒l be eight months pregnant, so she鈥檒l likely be forced to cede her title.

SIBLING TESTIMONIALS: 鈥淲hen Dane does his best, no one can touch him,鈥 Emily says. 鈥淓mily has been the best for the past eight years,鈥 Dane says鈥攁nd after giving birth, 鈥渟he鈥檚 not going to slow down.鈥

TOY FOR THE TOT: The family already has the newest Jackson鈥檚 boat picked out. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the first kid鈥檚 kayak my dad ever made,鈥 Emily says. 鈥淚t鈥檚 called the Fun 1.鈥

UP NEXT: This fall the family will compete at the , on North Carolina鈥檚 Nantahala River. It鈥檚 only the second time the biennial event is being held in America. 鈥淒ad won his first worlds in the U.S.,鈥 says Emily, 鈥渟o I鈥檇 love for us to keep the title in the family.鈥
