Canadian freeskier Ian McIntosh tumbled 1,600 feet down a snowy slope in the听Neacola Mountains听of southern Alaska while filming听Teton Gravity Research's听2015 video听Paradise Waits,听.听鈥淚鈥檓 ok!鈥 McIntosh yells at the end of the clip, which 听released on YouTube last week.
鈥淚鈥榲e been doing this for twenty years, and that was one of the burliest crashes I鈥檝e ever seen,鈥 said cameraman Todd Jones, who filmed the clip.听听“It was just ferocious.”
础蝉听国产吃瓜黑料 reported last February, McIntosh's skiing has appeared in听commercials听for Nissan and Alfa Romeo,听and he worked as a stunt听double for actor Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2010 film Inception.
Last April, Jones stayed with the Paradise Waits crew at a remote camp, 90 miles west of Anchorage, which included a landing area for helicopters carrying athletes and photographers. Because direct sunlight was scarce, the group only had an hour and a half of enough light to capture McIntosh听skiing on the line seen in the Youtube clip, which will remain unnamed until someone makes a successful first descent.
鈥淚 imagine we鈥檒l be back next year, and hopefully someone shreds it,鈥 said Jones.
