The Hero4 Session is a small and durable action camera.聽The Polaroid Cube is also a small action camera, but it sells聽for $100, one-fourth聽the cost of a Hero4 Session.聽C&A Marketing claims that the cube-shaped聽Hero4聽Session was built from the design and functionality of the Polaroid Cube, CNBC reported.
In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District聽Court聽in New Jersey, C&A Marketing is asking聽for all profits from the聽Hero4聽Session and for聽GoPro聽to stop manufacturing the camera. A representative from聽GoPro聽defended the company, telling CNBC that the Polaroid Cube was released after聽GoPro聽had already started to work on the聽Hero4聽Session.
An hour after the lawsuit was filed, GoPro鈥檚 stock fell more than 2聽percent. According to , the company鈥檚 shares have dropped more than 60 percent聽since the beginning of this year.
