Team RadioShack鈥檚 Levi Leipheimer Tour of Utah on Sunday, maintaining a slim winning margin over Columbia’s Sergio Henao. Leipheimer opened Sunday’s final stage with 23 seconds on Henao, and kept that margin as he rode with the Columbian to an uphill finish at Snowbird Ski Resort. Leipheimer, between teams last summer, won the 2010 race unsupported. For the 2011 race he had RadioShack riders Tom Danielson and Janez Brajkovic taking turns at the front. It is the first time the , which began in 2004 and has grown rapidly, has been included in the UCI鈥檚 . The six-day race involved five stages, a short time trial, and 30,000 feet of climbing. It is often called 鈥淎merica鈥檚 toughest stage race.鈥 Henao鈥檚 squad, Gobernacion de Antioquia, won the team competition. Leipheimer, a University of Utah grad, crashed three times in a disappointing Tour de France performance last month.
