The Robert and Miriam Underhill Award went to 88-year-old Fred Beckey for his lifetime of mountaineering accomplishments. The climber and author is unofficially recognized as the world record holder for first ascents. Beckey is also recognized in the September 2010 issue of 国产吃瓜黑料.

Former AAC President Bob Craig received the Angelo Heilprin Citation for his service to the club. Craig has been a member for 65 years and currently serves on the Investment Committee.

The David R. Brower Award was given to Tom Frost in recognition of his leadership and commitment to preserving mountain regions. Frost has advocated for Leave No Trace and played a role in creating many of the clean-climbing tools used today.
