Czech rock climber Adam Ondra addressed rumors of a potential one-day climbing*聽attempt on Yosemite鈥檚 Dawn Wall in an earlier this week.聽
Ondra, the 22-year-old world champion in both bouldering and lead climbing, has been rumored to be planning a 24-hour ascent of the 3,000-foot wall. Climbers have been聽about the possibility of Ondra taking on the Dawn Wall, and the world champion last month聽that he鈥檚 got his eye on the route.
In January, Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson completed the first free climb of the route. Their record-breaking climb took 19 days.聽
When pressed about his plan, Ondra said it was a long-term goal, but that he would like to start preparing. 鈥淚 think next year I鈥檒l start getting used to climbing in Yosemite,鈥 he told Gripped. 鈥淭hen maybe come back in two years, or three years? Let鈥檚 see.鈥
