Terry Ward
is a Florida-based freelance travel writer and journalist who lives in Tampa. She spends several months a year on the road reporting on topics ranging from adventure, scuba diving, and cultural travel, to family travel and science.
She speaks several languages, including French, Spanish, and Dutch, and has covered travel for 国产吃瓜黑料, CNN, National Geographic, Scuba Diving Magazine, Afar, Conde Nast Travel and Travel+Leisure, among other media outlets.
Her most memorable adventures include being the only woman (and lone American) among a five-person crew aboard a 37-foot sailboat that circumnavigated the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, and scuba diving in places like Palau and within the World War II wrecks of Truk Lagoon.
When she’s not dreaming of where to go underwater next she’s exploring Florida’s backroads or planning a trip with her two young kids to get them similarly stoked on travel.
