Sometimes all you need for a great picture is a gut feeling and a willing friend.
That was certainly the case for this image. Here, Atom Welch drops a cannonball from the upper deck of a random farm structure into a not-so-snowy field. Taken in the Rathdrum Prairie just south of where I live in Sandpoint, Idaho, this particular shot plays into the spontaneous humor that is a main ingredient of my photographic approach. A touch of humor in a barren landscape can make all the difference.聽
